The university lists 18 residences in total, including Alexander Court, Beech Court and Juniper Court, and I could verify prices only for the ones above. Andrew Stewart Hall has 215 bedrooms over seven floors, Willow Court has 120 bedrooms in shared flats with a cafe and laundry on the ground floor, and Thistle Chambers is near the main bus route, about a 21-minute bus ride to Campus Central.
What is included
- In the rent: heating, lighting and electricity, Wi-Fi, housekeeping assistance and room and contents insurance.
- Extras at Andrew Stewart Hall: a TV licence for the communal TV.
- Payment: you can pay in full or in instalments.
Housekeeping assistance does not apply at Alexander Court family flats. The pages I checked do not state accommodation deposits, and contract lengths differ by residence, as the table shows.
Guarantee and how to apply
For 2026/27, the guarantee covered first-year full-time students starting in September 2026 who had accepted a Stirling offer, conditional or unconditional, and lived more than 20 miles away. Applicants within 20 miles could apply but were not guaranteed an offer. The guarantee covers one offer only, not couples or family accommodation.

- Applications opened on 30 March 2026, through an online portal, with login details sent after you accept your offer to study.
- Rooms are first come, first served, with priority for care-experienced students, students under 18, students with medical needs and students from SIMD20 and SIMD40 areas.
- No offers are made until exam results are published in August. Offers expire after three days, and the guarantee lapses if you do not accept in time.
- Each student in a group must apply individually. Postgraduates must also pay their tuition fee deposit by 31 July to qualify for the guarantee.
